Back to the roots is the first project / exhibition of the Artisan association, which aims to highlight the values of contemporary art of young, quality artists (who are more or less attached to the "roots" of Vlasotince fertile soil) and encourage their fruitful work.
The theme of the project / exhibition aims to connect the traditional values of heritage and the modern moment.
Through specific art records, all the way to unique art forms, artists create gestural, expressive, or abstract elements within their works. It is in them that one can read the entire history, both intimate, individual, and collective, which makes these works form a complex, homogeneous whole. The overall concept of the exhibition is her ideology of returning to her roots, which testifies to the extent to which art has adopted all the changes that have taken place over the years in various fields.
The exhibition presents a large field in which young artists can get rid of the didactic and canonical, thus achieving a special form of personal and social freedom. The presented works of art were presented to the observer as sincere and concise in all their charge, concise and clear, created as a product of the original work of the author. The artist's goal is to create an evocative rather than a reproductive image / sculpture, to "penetrate" the work and achieve unity between his mental state and physical movement.
The presented works are in the process of innovating artistic language and revaluation, not only of aesthetic values, but also of redefining the syntagm.Back to the roots, where a certain traditional sequence acquires a particularly important role works.
